General Exercise Class in Felixstowe

 

Who can attend the class?

Any patient with a cancer diagnosis.

Any level of fitness- the circuit will be tailored to meet your need and level of fitness


What is the aim of the class?

This is a class that helps individuals meet their own goals whatever their level

It may be one of the following:

  • To introduce you to exercise if you are an absolute beginner

  • To give you the confidence to re-engage with exercise

  • To help you regain lost muscle tone, strength, balance or stability

  • To pace yourself back into exercise before joining another activity programme

  • To engage in exercise with other people in a similar situation to yourself for peer support.

You can continue to attend the class sessions for as long as you wish.


What can you expect at the class?

Lucy is a fun, enthusiastic, motivating and knowledgeable instructor. She is employed by the Felixstowe Leisure Centre. She has been successfully running Back on Track for the past 3 years.
The class starts with a warm up session,
Lucy then sets up a variety of circuit exercises which are adapted to suit each individual. There is followed by a fun group activity and a cool down session. 


Are there any costs involved?

There is no charge for this class for the first 6 weeks, then £3 per class thereafter

Parking

Brackenbury Sports Centre is easily accessible by foot from the town centre and has a free car park on site with provision for disabled badge holders at the front of the centre.
There are nearby bus stops
There are toilets 
There is Disabled access but please let Lucy know of any extra support you may need.


Anything you need to bring with you?

Any fitness equipment will be provided.

Please wear loose fitting comfortable clothing, and trainers or comfortable flat shoes.

It is suggested you bring own bottle of water.


How often are the classes held?

Every Tuesday 1.30 – 2.30pm
